Title
4, Drug Free Schools
2003-2004
According
to a recent survey, the use of drugs, including alcohol
and tobacco is on the increase among our teenagers nationwide.
Our school presents the message of the dangers and legal
consequences involved in the use of these substances. Drug
dogs are used by local police officers to make periodic
inspections. We use the organization Dogs Against Drugs
to instruct students in elementary and junior high classes.
Included in this instruction is violence prevention.
Teachers
and counselors attend workshops to assist them in teaching
students about drug abuse and prevention. People from the
community contribute free time to our prevention efforts.
Drug prevention requires the concerted effort and cooperation
of everyone. Our children are too important to lose.
