Our amazing librarian, Mrs. Roedenbeck, spends time reading to our classes throughout the week. She was in our Pre-K classes last week to share some fun stories. Our teachers and students love to have Mrs. Roedenbeck in their classes.

Mrs. Sutterfield's seventh and eighth grade science classes have been studying the Periodic Table. They are learning the names, element symbols and atomic numbers. To help reinforce their knowledge they have also been playing Periodic Table Battleship!

Roland Upper Elementary Cross Country team took part in the Stilwell Cross Country meet on Tuesday, October 3. Grayson Prewett, third grader, placed 9th with a time of 6 minutes 39 seconds in the one mile run.

Congratulations to the following Roland Middle School students for being the top achievers in Academic Advisory for the week of September 25 - September 29.




Mrs. Sutterfield's seventh and eighth grade science classes recently learned about the properties of water and how surface tension works. During this project based learning lab the students counted how many water droplets and soapy water droplets would fit on each penny before the water tension broke. Seventh grade student, Jaida Washington, ended up having the most drops of water at 237.




The 2023-24 National Honor Society induction ceremony will be held this Thursday evening at 6:30pm in the Roland High School Commons. We invite friends and family to come be a part of this special time as we recognize our newest members!
