Our high school culinary students added a little Halloween fun to the school day by making haunted houses with some of our lower elementary classes! 🎃👻

Everyone had a great time getting creative and having fun together!

Roland Public Schools is excited to partner with TheBOD Church to help provide Thanksgiving meals for families in our community!

Our food drive will begin next week, November 2, and continue through Wednesday, November 18!

We are asking students to help by donating the following items:

🦃 1st Grade: Box of mac & cheese
🦃 2nd Grade: Canned yams
🦃 3rd Grade: Canned green beans
🦃 4th Grade: Cream of mushroom soup
🦃 5th Grade: Canned corn
🦃 6th Grade: Mini marshmallows or turkey gravy mix
🦃 7th Grade: Canned corn or brown sugar
🦃 8th Grade: Canned pumpkin or cranberry sauce
🦃 High School: Graham cracker pie crusts or French fried onions

Thank you for helping us make Thanksgiving a little brighter for families in our community! We are grateful for our Ranger families and their continued generosity!

We were happy to welcome Anthony Meter with Homeland Security to Roland High School to speak with our students about online safety!

During the presentation, students learned about the importance of staying safe online, making smart decisions when using their cell phones and social media, and recognizing potential dangers in the digital world.

Thank you, Mr. Meter, for taking the time to share this valuable information with our students and helping them better understand how to protect themselves online!

📚 Book Tasting with Our 2nd Graders!

Our Culinary Arts students made reading a little more fun for our 2nd graders with a special Book Tasting!

Students enjoyed pizza, chocolate chip cookies, fresh fruit, Teddy Graham trail mix, and punch while listening to stories that went along with each treat. They also had the chance to talk about the books and enjoy some time together.

Now our 2nd graders are ready to take their AR tests with some fun memories to go along with what they read!

We love seeing our older Rangers create special experiences for our younger students!

Saturday evening, during our FFA BBQ Dinner and Pie Auction, we had the privilege of honoring Mr. M.L. Lockwood for his incredible 44 years of dedication to Roland Public Schools, agricultural education, and generations of FFA students.

Roland Public Schools is proud to recognize his lasting impact by officially dedicating our agricultural education building in his honor, renaming it the M.L. Lockwood Agricultural Facility!

Mr. Lockwood, thank you for the countless hours, lessons, and memories you have given our students and community over the past 44 years.

Congratulations to the Pride of Roland! Our Ranger Marching Band had an outstanding showing at the River Valley Rumble Marching Band Competition in Spiro! 🏆 1st Place – Class 2A White Marching Band 🏆 1st Place – Class 2A White Color Guard 🏆 Overall Runner-Up – Out of 11 competing bands! We are so proud of our students and directors for their hard work and dedication! Way to represent Roland, Rangers!

Roland FFA had an outstanding showing at the Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair FFA Judging Day last week! Our students competed in multiple events, brought home several top honors, and earned the Oklahoma Sweepstakes Award!

FAFSA completion is a state graduation requirement for all seniors, so come get it completed and checked off your graduation list! Staff will be available to help throughout the process. 🎓

Students in Mr. Griffin’s Intro to Robotics class recently put their skills to the test in a 1v1 robotics competition!

Students designed, built, programmed, and drove their very first robots before going head-to-head with their classmates.
