Roland High School is now accepting nominations for our 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame Class!
This year, we are especially looking for nominations of former Roland athletes from 1973–1976. These Rangers are an important part of our athletic history, and we want to make sure those who made a lasting impact are recognized and celebrated.
If you know a former Roland athlete from 1973, 1974, 1975, or 1976 who deserves this honor, we want to hear from you!

Roland Public Schools Awarded $225,000 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant

Roland Public Schools has been awarded a $225,000 21st Century Community Learning Center grant through the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE), as part of more than $3.2 million in new grants awarded to 13 organizations across Oklahoma.
The five-year grants will support high-quality out-of-school programs for students and families. With the addition of the 13 new recipients, OSDE now supports 50 grantees with more than $13 million in federal funding each year.
The 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) initiative provides academic enrichment and learning opportunities for students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, with a focus on high-poverty communities and schools needing targeted support.
Programs operate before and after school, during the summer, and over holiday breaks. Across Oklahoma, 21st CCLC programs serve more than 16,000 students annually.
Students participating in these programs can receive additional support in reading, math, and tutoring, as well as enrichment opportunities including robotics, chess, debate, art, music, drama, science, college and career readiness, and health and fitness. Families also have access to literacy and educational services designed to strengthen connections between home and school.
Oklahoma currently has 50 organizations managing 57 grants across 92 locations statewide, continuing OSDE's efforts to expand safe, supportive, and academically focused out-of-school programming.

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM UPDATE!
We’re excited to announce that our After-School Program will open Monday, August 24th!
At this time, families will need to enroll under Boys & Girls Club (BGC) in order for their child to attend the after-school program.
We are currently working to get the 21st Century Grant implemented. Once that process is complete, we will share additional information and updates regarding enrollment under the 21st Century program.
📌 For now, please remember:

Beginning tomorrow, Lower Elementary students will walk to their classrooms independently.
Parents are welcome to walk their child to the entrance and say goodbye at the door. Staff will be stationed throughout the building to greet students and help them get to class.

With the excessive Oklahoma heat, we’ve made a few adjustments to help keep our Rangers safe while still making sure they get plenty of time to play!
Our elementary students are enjoying outdoor recess during the cooler parts of the day, and when temperatures get too hot, the fun moves inside to the gym!
Whether they’re swinging, running, playing or jumping rope, our Rangers are still getting time to move, play and just be kids! 🧡🖤
We love seeing those happy faces back at school!

Eligible Cherokee Nation citizens under the age of 19 may qualify for a one-time $150 clothing assistance payment to help with back-to-school shopping.
