Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held Thursday, Oct 8 from 4 PM to 7 PM and Friday, Oct 9 from 8 AM to 11 AM. The High School plan to allow for Covid-19 regulations is as follows: Only 1 parent per student will be allowed to attend. No students will be allowed to attend. A mask will be required to enter the building and temperatures will be taken. You will also be required to answer a brief questionnaire in regard to the Corona Virus. Chairs will be located outside the teachers' classrooms spaced 6 feet apart. If all chairs are occupied, you will be asked to wait in the commons area and maintain social distancing. Meetings with the teachers will be limited to 5 minutes each. Because of the virus, no supper or refreshments will be served. If you have any questions, please contact the high school office.

The 7/8 and 9/JV football games originally scheduled for Oct 8 have been moved to Monday, October 5. The first game starts at 5:30.

Our surplus tickets for the Vian game can be claimed today at the Administration office. These are first come, first serve.

PSA: Vian has limited tickets sales for our Friday night game. We have extended the available tickets to our athletes, cheerleaders and band member families first. We will announce a procedure to claim any extra tickets later this week. Any extra tickets will be on a first come, first serve basis.

Senior night practice is tomorrow at 11:55 for participating seniors.

Junior High & High School Students!!! School Pictures are scheduled for Tuesday September 22! Pictures will be taken in the High School breezeway for both buildings; signs will be posted to help direct students on where to go. Virtual Students will need to come on campus between 9:00 am - 10:30 am to have your pictures taken as well. If you have any questions please email Mrs. Richards. Thank You and have a great day!

All Roland High School virtual students need to log on to your school email, find an email from cwatson, and vote for your 20-21 homecoming court. You will vote for one student in each group. Voting closes at midnight tonight! Its a great day to be a Ranger!

Breakfast and lunch will be available to ALL students today in their respective cafeterias. Breakfast until 8:30 AM Lunch from 11 AM - 1 PM

REMINDER: Tomorrow, Wednesday September 9, 2020 is a VIRTUAL DAY ! All students will have assignments to complete at home while teachers are working from school. Please email your student's teacher(s) if you have questions or concerns.

The 7/8 MS football game scheduled for Tuesday, October 8, has been cancelled. The 9/JV game will still be played at 6:30.

Parents of MS and HS students: It is in our handbook that can be found online that students may NOT wear leggings unless their top is below mid-thigh in length. Students who do not comply with the dress code will be sent home to change or to in school suspension (ISS) if they are unable to change into clothes that meet the dress code requirements. Thank you for your compliance with this issue.

Parents of elementary students: The first scheduled virtual day is Wednesday, Sept. 9. Initially students in the elementary grades PK-3-5 will be given a homework assignment to be completed on this day away from school. Eventually students that have devices and connectivity will do assignments made on Google classroom. This process will be different depending on the age of your children. Roland Middle School will begin issuing Chromebooks to our "in person" students starting Wednesday, Sept 2. Each student has been given a technology application. This application along with a $25 fee needs to be returned to the middle school office as soon as possible. Upon the return of the application and the fee, the student will be issued a Chromebook that they will be able to keep until the end of the school year. We would like to get this taken care of as soon as possible so that the students can access their assignments during our "virtual days" or at any other time that they may need to. If your student has their own device, we highly encourage them to bring it to school daily. If you have any questions, please call the middle school office, and we will assist you.

Lower elementary first day procedures: Kindergarten and Head-start teachers will be on the west end of the building by the softball field. PK-teachers will be at the breezeway between lower elementary buildings. Grades 2 teachers in front of the lower elementary. During this week's Thursday evening and Friday morning device distribution times, students who are enrolled virtually in the following classes need to come by the high school and pick up their text books. Art Appreciation Biology Chemistry Physiology Spanish I and II U.S. History

Students needing a device for virtual distance learning must pick-up and pay their technology fee on the scheduled upcoming dates: Thursday August 20th 6 PM -8 PM and Friday August 21st 9 AM - 11 AM. All devices will be at the high school commons for checkout.

Enrollment for high school Virtual Distance Learning will be August 6th at 6:30 PM at the high school commons area. ONLY ONE parent may attend WITH their student to complete the application. Please wear your masks (required) and adhere to social distancing protocols. Bring the printed and completed application along with a pen or pencil. If you student (s) has an IEP, a SpEd teacher will contact you to complete enrollment. NOTE: the completed survey does not enroll you student in Virtual Distance Learning.
